I just had a thought (that makes two today! )

I don't know the answer to this and was wondering if someone could clear things up?

As I understand it .WEB files can't have embedded protection where as a .SWF file can. However, in order to set .SWF protection doesn't this have to be set in FLASH on the .FLA file before it is published as a .SWF file?

This means making the .SWF export from XaraX and import in Flash as painless as possible even more urgent if people want to go around publishing there artwork on the web and not letting others rip it off.

However, I think there are some cracks out there for .SWF files? So I guess it's like everything else if people wanted to they can get around anything!

But it would be nice to be able to deter the common person at least.

For example, I have some complex artwork which took a couple of weeks to produce and I want to put in an online portfolio. At the moment they are displayed as JPEGs but I would put them on as .SWF but not until I know they are fairly safe.

Anyone else with some thoughts on this, or even how to get around the problem?

Mr Bump.
