can Xara X1 create (B&W) halftones?

Brilliant! I followed your instructions to the letter.... also experimented with the "bitmap size" dpi settings. Amazing ..... I printed several samples (different dpi) and then photocopied. Really close reproduction! Thank you (all) so much for the help. (although my mailer has already gone out to the person who will photocopy -- I replaced the contone image w/line art!).
