    Default Microphone

    Hi everyone,
I'm trying to recreate a microphone drawing I made in PhotoShop in Xara but I've no idea on how to create the head and get the effect I got in PhotoShop. Can anyone help!. I've attached a rough drawing of what I'm trying to do and the original I made in PhotoShop. All suggestions and help appreciated.

    Stygg.

Hi! Stygg mebbe I am the last person to tell anyone what to do, still struggling myself with some aspects of Xara. Do you have the plugin that would give you the correct fill for the head(sphere) that would be a start. By the way you sent a .xar file I thought the only way to send that type of file would be to zip it. The way you have sent it results in an file that won't open.
I enclose my poor attempt at drawing your microphone. sorry I cannot be more of a help. Norman

Not sure, but it may head you in the right direction. There is a 1998 tutorial in the Xara Xone that shows how to create a simular effect you may be looking for. With a little editing of your own, you may get the effect you want.

    Hi Stygg,

I didn't notice there were two threads. Here's a quick and dirty attempt at the microphone.

Your photoshop image is on the bottom for reference while drawing.

This months XaraXone tutorial also shows how to make the sphere:

Here is another attempt, I made the fill in PSP using your own mike to make a small fill file by selecting the mesh and importing it into Xara1 fill gallery . I did not use a full ellipse I made two halves and filled them accordingly it was as near as i could get to your mesh. I have learned a lot just trying to emulate your mike. Norman.

So now I hear you loud and clear, and BTW, you could have avoided the chore with a windscreen, but very fine work, all.
