Progress bar problem

Just downloaded trial. Opened a jpg and double clicked on it. Photo editor opened with a dead progress bar across the photo. Nothing happens by clicking on enhance or anything else, the dead progress bar stays, photo does not enhance. This happens only when accessing XPE through Xtreme. XPE works fine when used as stand-alone.

Only way out is to close window. Running xp Pro with all current updates, sp2, plenty of available ram, no hard disk accessing indicates no file swapping is taking place, nVidia GEForce4ti 4200.

Hope someone can help with this problem, as I certainly can't consider buying the program unless this problem can be fixed.

I don't see any progress bar when I double click on a jpg, but then I am still using 98SE.
