    Hi Soquili,

So many flys out there...those horses need to swish their tails. Any hope?

Ginger, look at post #20 in this thread. The post number is in the upper right of each entry. I attached a simple animation and the xar file for you to download and edit as you please.

    Bill,

Looks like the horses were in the no fly zone. Need a few flys. Rich

Nice fly, Molucca! But could you blur the hard angles on the wing segment bevels? I'm not sure he'll be able to get off the ground.

Unless, of course, you've designed him as a piece of jewelry. In that case, the bevels make sense.

I also rotated each frame a bit to give the impression the body was indeed connected to the "flapping" wings. I Just love working with Xara!

Thank you so much for your rapid response. It's going to take my brain cells awhile before they grasp any of this. I'm working on it .

Wow! Give me some time to integrate all this new info. I'm relieved that all this can be done within Xara X. I'm used to doing alot of this in Micrographx minus the animation part that is. By the way, you folks at Talk Graphics are wonderful! Thanks to all of you

    Gratefuly,

Thank you thank you Egg. Will go into seclusion with all this.

Here is a screen that might explain what I was talking about re: a background frame.

Click on the New Animation icon (or select File > New > Animation.

If you do not see the Gif Animation toolbar go to Window > Control Bars and then check the GIF Animation check box.

Place the image you want to use for a background on the page and press the Frame Properties icon. Check Background and set the display frame for to 0.

This will make the image appear on each frame of your animation but will not make as large a file as if you pasted the same image on each frame separately.

Click the New Frame icon. Now you can begin creating your animation.

I know this is a lot of information but let me know if it makes any sense.

    Gary
Thank you Gary. I was able to do the background frame exercise thanks to your directions.
