Default Using simple Xara strokes in Flash

I was on a Flash forum the other night and someone wanted to know how to reproduce a growing vine shape. Using Xara and Flash it was quite simple.
Firstly I produced the completed vine shape, then by Cloning and reducing the nodes using several steps, thus producing several stages of the vine in growth.
Because Flash can't import Xara Stokes, the lines needed to be changed to shapes after editing.

It was then simple to import them into flash to make a very simple, single animated movie. By replicating and resizing this movie, a kliadascope vine was easily created.

You can view the flash animation http://www.harwich-charter-400.co.uk/temp/vine3.html

This is the Xara Stroke used (Interestingly the attachment below is the same size as the total Flash animation):

Nice animation Egg! Is the animation for a background, intro or header?
    Design is thinking made visual.

    Thanks All

The animation isn't for any particular purpose other than demonstrating to members of the Flash community that not all effects are achieved via motion or shape tweens. Some are just achieved via old fashioned animation drawing techniques.

But more than all the above, I just enjoy immersing myself in vector graphics. To be able to create an animation that's getting towards 30 seconds long, fills an 1024 x 768 screen with a file size of 7Kb's and no exceptional drain on the CPU is very pleasing.
