Tried your Mini-tut Steve, thanks for making it. My post below is not nearly as slick as your flag but I think I grasp the concept!

I did run into some "issues" with the Mold tool and posted the problem as I saw it in the Xara Forum along with some examples.

Nice flags, but a strange method of attachment!

Most flags have a hemmed channel with a sewn-in bolt-rope, with a toggle at the top and a loop at the bottom to fasten to the halyard.

Oh really? That is the right way to do it, I think! But I thought this way was done also. To be honest I used Gary's as a kinda reassuring guide because I thought it was that way also! Oh well, I think all the flags look good no matter how they're hung! There's more than one way to skin a cat

This may be the nauticl method. Steve's rendition is correct for all US Flags that I have ever seen. I have 2 coffin flags (over 12ft long) and a smaller one for flying and they both have the eyelets at the corners as Steve has depicted.

Great Work, Steve. I just returned from three-weeks away - two on the West Coast. Flew into Seattle the night of the 10th. Those NY images were very oppressive. The flag is a good way to get back on track. I checked in on Xara once. Nice to know the graphics world is going on. Neil
