Hi gidgit,
A very helpful reflection, thanks.
So just download the trial software and give them a test drive? What a concept!
I have used CAD 3D in the past ( a little AutoCAD and more TurboCAD) But I'm still not all that familiar with the "buzz" words seen here. Like:
"dolly cam"
"better virtual mirror"
"subd"
"polyline/spline"
But no matter I'm sure I'll catch on soon enough.
My Win98 AMD Athlon XP 1700 with 256MB mem is flaky (won't always boot the 1st or 2nd try or more!) and I loathe the thought of wiping the hard drive and reloading it again....that can take many hours) so adding programs and removing them leaving all the "debris" on the hard drive doesn't help and is the reason I have not used the "try before you buy" approach much recently.
I do have Norton SystemWorks now with ghost so maybe I should just bite the bullet and do it.
I am eager to try some 3D stuff and have been inspired by some of the great things done here and elsewhere and should just jump in and try it.
Thanks again.
