Sorry if this is a bit off topic.

When I click on the Back button in IE 6 after viewing a thread on TalkGraphics I sometimes get shown the source HTML for the page rather than the page contents! Has anyone else seen this happen or is it just me?

I am not too bothered about this really but I would like to know if it is just my computer or if there is some issue with Talkgaphics (I suspect it is my PC).

I thought it was my IE, which I know has a problem , normally on Java scripts or more particularly on secure servers. I been getting the same problem using the back button within Talk Graphics for 2 to 3 weeks now, not every time but quite regularly.

but from time to time, something goes horribly amiss and I get the theme panels repeating endlessly which is odd.

Thanks Egg! I thought it was just me. I'll try and contact the web master at Xara and see what is going on. Out of intrest, if anyone else gets this problem what browser and OS are you using. For the record I am using XP with SP1 and IE 6.

Gary, I think the problem you are seeing is due to the XaraOnline servers going down. When their servers go down (seems to happen every few months) the browser can’t download the banner ad so it has trouble laying out the page. As the images are loaded through some (over)complex Javascript, when things go wrong, you end up with a horrible mess.

Yup, I occasionally view the source code. I'm running IE 6.0.2800.1106C0. A refresh always works. And Talkgraphics seems to be the only site I experience this on. Has to be IE's rendering engine interacting with the source code.

I thought I was the only one seeing the source. It happens most often when I'm at work, and was beginning to think it may have something to do with the new firewall. Now I think it has more to do with IE 6 as it began after I updated to the latest patches.

Solved! Now I know it is not just my computer I went looking for what could be causing this problem. It turns out that it is a known bug in the forums software; this thread on the Infopop's web site (the people who write the forum software) has some details. They say it will be fixed in the next version.
