Hats off to Newton Florentino for tackling and mastering what must be one of the most challenging subjects using Xara X...the human face. His tutorial explained in superb clear detail exactly how he built the image. The one crucial element he left out however was his tremendously acute artistic eye and immense skill!!!
It's one thing to see how the mechanics of the operation work, but then it's a whole different affair when required to start from scratch on your own. The challenge is being able to SEE how an image can be created, to SEE the infinitely subtle tones, planes and contours that make up a face and to reproduce them with a tool far better suited to mechanical and geometric subjects.

Hats off to your skills Mr.Florentino.
The Xara standard is raised once more!!!

"SEEING" is where art in artist comes into play.

Newton Florentino is obviously a talented artist who produces stunning images. I would love to see him share more tips with us.

Seeing his work - and realizing that it was done with Xara - has certainly motivated me.
