Has anyone used the trial version of Xara 3D? It seems to come with its own project and not allow for any other projects to be created? Am I right, or just confused?

Use the default project as a starting point then change it any way you want.

For example, select the Text Tool icon which opens the editing window and change the text to anything you want.

Or you can create a solid colored shape or logo in Xara, export it as a WMF file and then open the image in Xara 3D.

The April 1999 XaraXobe Tutorial will give you a good idea of how Xara 3D works.
