After using Photopaint thru version 9, I switched to Photoshop 7 last year. I have just received the CS upgrade, and my question is: how do I get any custom patterns etc. that I have created in 7, into CS?

I was able to load my color management settings from 7 to CS, but haven't figured out how to retain custom stuff before removing 7 from my machine.

    Thanks, and remember Veteran's Day.

I had never done it in PS7, as that was the first version I used.

Now my final question, does that also copy them from PS7 folder to CS directory, so that PS7 can be uninstalled and I will still have custom objects?

    Thanks again,
    Mike

    Nope. http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

Once you load your shapes from the PS7 shapes folder into PS CS... save the group out right away and save them into the PS CS shapes folder.

The easiest way to do this whole thing would be to simply copy & paste the shapes file from the PS7 shapes folder on ytour hard drive, into the PS CS shapes folder -- before starting Photoshop.
