Printing size

Hi all.

I'm finding a discrepancy between the units as expressed within XaraX (inches, in this case) and as they come out of my printer. Xara tells me the object is 2 inches wide, for instance, but it comes out nearly 3 inches wide when printed. What's happening, and how can I fix it?

Glad of any advice.

Welcome Simon,

Try this, choose File / Page Options, and from the tabs, choose "Scaling".

Click "Use scale factor", and type into both boxes below it exactly as shown here:

Drawing = 1in / Real world = 1in.

I maybe wrong in this as I've never tried it, and my printer's on the fritz @ the moment.

Make sure File > Print Options > Print layout [Custom Fit] is selected with a Scale of 100%. Also, make sure that Top and Left are both 0, as these and the scale are not automatically reset.
