    Hi girls 'n guys,

    I'm currently teaming up with a company that develops interior and exterior designs for restaurants, nightclubs, discos, offices, hotels, showrooms, exhibitions.

    First task is an entrance for a dance club for 4000 people... this portal is 5.5 meters high = 18 feet. Made of black or raw iron, translucent plastic tubes with different diameters and tons of spot lights and neon bulbs in the tubes. Still have to model the building 'behind the scene', but I thought I can already post it for your comments. Please note that this stuff doesn't have to be perfect in terms of the smallest rendering detail, the focus is on feasability, lighting alternatives and construction. The rendering will serve only for presentation purposes to achieve a more realistic look than the previous hand drawn illustrations they have used.

    The staircase with cashier counter etc will follow soon ;-}

    This biz is booming, and until last week I didn't know the costs for design, development and construction (building) a dance club for 3000 people costs around 4 million US $... Seems I've cracked kind of a jackpot ;-}

    In this case I had an existing floor plan of the building and a few sketches. The CAD was done in Rhino, rendering in C4D.

    Looks good. It should really pull in the modern dance enthusiasts.

    That does look cool .....fingers crossed bud.

    Just one small crit - The building has lighting of an overcast type day upon it,so just reduce the levels a smdgeon on the entranceway metal and it will fit in like a glove

    thanks for the tip! But as I said, the rendering is not that important. It's only to illustrate what we have in mind.

    Here is another one - the customer is excited, so I will send him this one tomorrow. Black iron (raw iron) with a glossy lacquer (sp?) coating. The logo is plexiglass which is illuminated with a neon bulb - that's because I added some glow effect.

    Looks nice Jens. Maybe you could do a version with
    total neon strip cover. It would look great in the nigth.

    Thats also very cool

    I just had a thought if you the glass curved panel on top was able to be slid forwards along a gutter or channel,if it rained it could protect the sign at the front and the customers arriving.It would not need to be expensive either just the glass area on a frame connected to rails with handles at a reachable position to manually slide it along and forward,maybe handles which could be hinged so that they could fold up again as well
