Hello Bob and welcome to the Xara X Conference.

By canvas size I assume you mean the Page Size?

As stratocast suggests, go to File > Page Options, then go to the Page tabbed section.

Their is a Page Size drop down list. You can select from one of the preset page sizes or click Custom and enter your own dimensions.
