Is he back in clink? I know I'm only lurking lately but I haven't seen any postings from him lately.

I think Ross is pretty much tied up with his new home - see the details here

Thanks for that. I've missed quite a few posts lately. Designing prisons must be lucrative!

Just checked the forums after some time away and was surprised to find this thread.

Actually I have been very busy. It is after midnight now and I'm still at the office. Yikes! I'm trying to get all cought up on my work so I can take a few days off without feeling the the guilts. I've been putting in far too many hours lately. Hopefully I can slow down when I work out of my new home office.

With regards to the new house: construction is proceeding nicely. It will be August before we can move in. Tomorrow we'll be loading the big U-Haul truck and then after some intensive house scrubbing we'll be off for our new lives on the Island. Our 'closing' is the end of June. Our existing home was sold to the very first folks who looked at it! I suppose our price was way too low. What irks me is having to pay the real estate agent for doing nothing. Anyways...

When we go to the Island we'll live with my wife's parents for the month of July (or until the kids drive them crazy and they put us out onto the street).

Oh and designing jails isn't lucrative. I suppose in some places it costs a fortune to build -- it isn't too bad here in this part of Canada. You guys should all move here and start new lives too!

    Regards, Ross

Don't stay away so long. It's gets too quiet around here without you.

I'll accept your offer right on the spot. Pls send me an immigration visa or work permit for Canada, and I'll be there in a few weeks. Promised. And just in case you shouldn't have one in your drawer: a H1 visa or green card for the US will be welcome as well!

Help! I want to get out of this f...ing Europe as fast as possible! It's so insane to pay 54% income tax and US$ 4.07 for one gallon gasoline! And that's just the beginning...

    Welcome to the Island Ross,
I returned to the Island about 7 weeks ago and while I loved my year in the desert heat of Kamloops, British Columbia it just didn't have that red soil or the cheap lobster... lots of fresh salmon though.

Maybe we'll run into each on the streets of the great metropolis called Charlottetown and we can talk about those not fortunate enough to live here. Keep your eyes peeled for an 'old duffer' in a wheelchair; wearing a cowboy hat and being hauled by a Chihuahua 'sled dog'!

Although it might a be a while because next Monday I have to be over in your old city of Halifax for back surgery.

    Happy Canada Day, eh?

Sure love the house design - by the Hillsborough River is it?

Seeing as it it's Lupine season here on PEI I've also attached a couple of photos for those who haven't had the pleasure, eh? http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

I took these last night when I was experimenting with the macro feature of my camera. If you look closely you can see Charlottetown off in the distance...

See y'all when I'm 'back in the saddle' again...
