Slice of Orange - keeping it real!

Am trying to recreate a slice of orange for use in a logo, hence it has to be kept simple but do you think it is too simplified?

Not sure how to break the solid orange of the "segments".

It might help if I posted the intended use

Can not see much wrong with that mags!

Maybe take the full orange away fron the slice very slightly. Prefer the bottom logo.

Prefer the bottom treatment as well and without the solid orange, just the sliced orange.

I'm with Gary here. Use just the slice in the place of "o" not the top part, please.

Thanks very much Albacore, Gary and Roman for your valued advice. Guess the solid orange "segments" are okay, after looking at it again with "fresh eyes" I was quite happy.

Client is too, which obviously is the main thing http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

(the logo with the 'O' in the orange was not meant to be shown as "intended use", was part of my doodles!).

Anyway thought you might like to see your preferred choice (slice only) and the final logo (with apple).

I do prefer the more simplistic orange slice, the apple is kinda an unneccessary extra but am happy, given that the client originally wanted a logo with graphic representations of all they sold (ie. fruit, veg, pasta, bread, etc, etc)!!

How about an ear of corn for the i's and a strawberry for the dot. Or ears of corn for the small l's in mill.

Looks Good Dominique. Too Fancy for a Logo, but looks good.
