    No promises, but try this:

1 Right click on My Computer and select Properties
2 Select Advanced and click on the settings button below the subheading 'Performance'
3 Select the Data Execution Protection Tab
    4 Select the Add button
5 Browse to the Xara 3D installation folder and double click on x3d.exe to add it to the list.

All of the Xara software I have on my PC dislikes the Data Execution Protection in Windows XP SP2.

    Daniel
I'll ask Gary to include this in the tips & tricks section. It's a tip I think we're going to need more & more in the future.

Maybe for Xara's X3D FAQs too, I think it has made its way onto the X¹ FAQ (but a bit hidden I think), but don't remember seeing it on the X3D page.

I think I was in the minority when I originally had this problem, but as more and more people replace their PCs with those supporting hardware DEP and/or get WinXP SP2 with its software DEP, you're right - it is going to become a more familar complaint.
