since I have had my digital I have been trying to come to grips with Photoshop. Sort of getting there but a whole new learning curve. Any way this is one I just knocked out in Xara. It is from a memory of a picture I saw some years ago somewhere...taojones

As usual, lovely job! It looks like a watercolour and a paper sculpture at the same time.

Or maybe my eyes are just blurry...

Would go nice with this scene.

We have been buying a splendid Austrailian wine Yellow Tail the two varietals we have tried so far have been excellent, Shiraz and Chardonnay.

And if it is as cheap to buy as it is here in New Mexico, they must be giving it away in Austrailia :-)

Oh, and what a wonderful image.

You can also create your images in Xara, export them as TIFF and apply some of Photoshop's bitmap filters to them.

Tao, your style is wonderful. A great image. How you get such watercolor effects in Xara is amazing. A treat ... If you're having a glass of wine in the house or in front of it, Cheers, Neil

we have hic great wine out here Gary but it cost more than you pay for it, due to some sales tariff. Still cheap though and it keeps getting better. I have hopefully added the xara file to this if anyone wants to see how I did it before I make a bitmap copy and then get the color effects with the transparency tool. I have thrown this one into PH Gary last night and I can really tweak it in there. I believe there is an Epsom printer out that prints with watercolor type ink that last 150 years. I am thinking of getting one and printing on watercolor paper....take care taojones

    ... work Tao, as always.

Epson is coming out with a new printer any day now - the Epson 2200 (America's) Epson 2100 (Europe)...

It has six independent ink tanks, and has supposedly a better colour range than the Epson 2000 - the new one might be better suited for more saturated colors. It will also produce better black/white prints.

40/75 years archival, depending on what type of paper is used.
