    I made this the other day, and can't seem to figure out how I did it. Any ideas?

    It looks as if you created it by blending one transparent shape to another transparent shape.

    Thats what I am thinking, but I can't seem to duplicate it, I just keep getting a basic blend from one shape to the next. maby it was a blend/bevel combo.

    Any idea why the file I attached didn't show up as an image in my message?

    Sidewaysup, in order for an image to show up in the message it has to be a bitmap (jpg, gif, png)xar files won't display in a browser.

    The blend tool is a very useful one. Sometimes when playing around you can get some remarkable designs that are really difficult to duplicate!

    Well Sidewaysup, your project seems to have lived up to your moniker... From what I was able to cypher from your commitment.xar file you have doubled up some of your lines of texts and there are also cutouts made out of the blends and the original text is missing.

    In the attached file another_commitment.jpg, I have played around with all the items, the doubled texts and the blends and such. The only thing added is the green shape that delineates your cutout text and the rest is all yours with my playing around with typefaces, colours, placement, etc.

    I was able to keep track of my 'fun' by the use of Xara's Layers Gallery, something that didn't seem to be used on that file. If you are not sure of where it is, hit F10 Key or go to the menu item Utilities > Galleries > Layer Gallery. This feature allows a control to the placement of text, shapes, etc. and will help you keep track of items your projects especially if you name them accordingly.

    For more info on layers checkout the Online manual on XaraXone;

    Hope this helps, sure gave me a bit of fun.
