I have been informed that the explanation for the lack of ability to post images is explained In this thread.

Not being psychic, I would never have thought to look there. http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif

    Well ... THAT explains it http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

    Gary,
I guess since you brought it up ... this is as good a place as any to spring my "hair-brained" idea on the group ... and see how much torture I can endure http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif

    THE BEST OF TALKGRAPHICS
That's the theme ... picture this ... a forum dedicated to the "pick of the litter" or "cream of the crop" ... selected on a regular schedule (monthly, bi-monthly, semi-annually, or annually) which takes only the best ideas, techniques, drawings ... of ALL the other galleries and places them in one place. Yes, there would have to be a selection criteria ... and Yes, there would have to be a selection committee or person ... but at some point in time (next week, next year, next decade) some of the posts are going to HAVE to be archived and the FAT will need to be trimmed. I have a hard time finding things that happened last year ... what would it be like with 10 years of posts http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif

That's the pitch ... I think you can fill in the gaps. Am I nuts (Don't answer that!), or do any of you think this could be a workable solution?

    Antony,
I would appreciate your point of view.

Gary, you mean a forum where people talk about TalkGraphics, both for suggestions and technical problems, isn't an obvious place to look? Hmm. I don't think you need to be Mystic Meg to work that one out.

OkalaEd, not a bad idea in principle. It's what was sort of started with the brushes forum etc. But I don't think we really keep them up to date enough as it is, so taking on a new responsibility may not be a great idea right now.

But once we're on new forum software, that may be a good time for me to organise some people into taking on the tasks of archiving topics.
I'd start a revolution, if I could get up in the morning.

Image attachments are working again now.

Closing this topic now... if anyone has any further queries, please post them in the "TalkGraphics feedback & questions" forum. For those non-psychics, it's for feedback and questions regarding TalkGraphics and has been for over a year.
