New to Xara and new to this forum. Just received my X1 [boxed]..... wonderful!

Today's question. Why is there no 'image sequence' output? I rely on created png's [transparent] for video overlay enhancements. Surely X1 can meet this simple request.

    Otherwise........it's incredible.

    Till later, minstrel

Welcome to the Xara Conference Minstrel.

I do not understand your question.

What is image sequence? Do you mean animation?

    Hello Minstrel,

Welcome to Talkgraphics. did you mean creating an individual .png for each layer? If so it is under options in the output dialog. See pretty picture.

    Oh....I'm gonna' like it here!

Thanks guys, for the quick responses.

Gary, yes we're talking animation. What I was looking for was saving each individual 'frame' as an single image......thus saving all the fames, creates an 'image sequence'. Why bother with such a thing? Well, I've a marvelous NLE that at present will not allow for alpha channel avi's. By using transparent png's as an image sequence [fake avi] is does allow the transparency values to be retained and, as you know, I can create fantastic overlay with Xara X1!

Now, John's tip allows me to do exactly what I want, just not the way I wanted [expected] to do it. But it works and that's the bottom line!

    Thanks again, minstrel
