    Working with Silo for some days, I have tried to obtain the same sharp edges effects on subpatched objects in my usual modeling tool : Lightwave modeler. The lack of edge tools in Lightwave is a problem, ... but there are often simple solutions!
    Here is a little tutorial which introduce the use of dummy polys.
