    Thanks Gidgit,

I have had good success so far this year. I took lots of photos of dragonflies since they seemed to remain still. The butterflies really likes a bush in bloom, and I took lots of pictures of them, also. The butterfly bushs are starting to bloom, and I have been charging my batteries. Rich

Looks like fun. Dragonflies can fly at 70 miles/hour. I don't know about in reverse. Rich

Superb photos. The dragons look much better and safer than airplanes.

    Thanks Nikolai,

I took a few hundred more photos. I was trying to capture one flying. That is very difficult. I am still fortunate the I can get so close to get good photos. When a dragonfly sits for photos, I take a lot of images and delete the ones that good. I still get quite a few. I am still drawing wings. I thought that I would capture the golden glow from these wings, but what I see and what the camera gets are different. Rich

    Hello

How can I say this without being discouraging, but your images lack sharpness and are a bit overexposed. The damselfly is the best, but it still can be better.

Underexposing will bring out the golden veins in the wings , as well as the bright red of the body.

What equipment are you using? Are you using supplementary lenses on a prime lens or are you usung macro lenses and extension tubes?
