I sense this has something to do with the Olympics & hockey. I'm not a hockey fan so I'm not aware if Canada's team whupped Sweden's sorry butts or the other way around. Just to show I have a broad general knowledge (ie. head full of useless info) I'll ask, how did the "torpedo" play out.

... Ross, what DO you do in Nova Scotia in the wintertime? Do you even have a wintertime?

Dan - I may have been a warm-up... but it was a warm-up for the Swedes! I'm almost embarrassed to admit it... It was the first hockey game I have watched this season...

You really must come to Nova Scotia sometime! Your Montreal winter is cold, damp, and slushie. Here the banana's & coconuts are almost ripe! Our family might spend tomorrow at the beach - we've cut back on that activity because we don't want to overexpose the kids to the sun's powerful UV rays. Our mild winter is because of the Gulf Stream current which brings us the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Your Viking ancestors called the Nova Scotia "Vinland" because of all the wild grapes they found growing. Our climate is much like that of the Riveara.

When you came to Canada, boy did you pick the wrong place to live!

    Regards, Ross

PS - Congratulations to Team Sweden! They done good.
