Look, folks, I know we've thrashed this out before, but...

There are 538923 bytes of attachments in this thread (for 'thread', read 'web page') already, of which every last one is forced to reload on every visit by stupid Infopop software! Sorry, but I just can't cope with repeated visits to non-cacheable (is that a word?) 500K web pages, and I've started skipping a lot of stuff because it takes too long to download. Some of us are stuck with modems through the lack of realistic alternatives where we are, so we're just going to have to look into the problem (can't OpenTopic be configured to allow caching?) or be prepared to alienate more users.
