Unbelievable as it sounds there was an exact numeric tie between entry (a) and (g) and so in the end I had to ask some of the marketing people in Xara to decide between the two - they went for (g) in the end. Their reasons, and I suspect that of many people who voted, was that they liked the camera and film graphic, which is the prime target use of the Xara Picture Editor.
We will to alter the name which is Picture Editor not Photo Editor (and the reason for that name is that's it's more consistent with Microsoft's name for the Windows XP Picture Viewer).
So congratulations to Paul from Finland - I'll be in touch directly.
And a final thank you to everyone who contributed. There were so many great logos that would have made fine product logos, but in the end there has to be only one winner.
