I did a book cover (for an Internet book) a few years back and just discovered it yesterday. I used Poser v2, RenderMan, E3D, trueSpace, Dimensions, XARA, and the kitchen sink, I believe.

I think you really have improved your skills over the years ;-}. At least it appears to me you don't need the kitchen sink anymore for fixation!

To be honest, let's look back a few years. 5 or 6 years. In that time your picture must have been the greatest thing! Wow.

Six tools to develop this image - geez. When I look back I got stuck with combo 2D/3D CAD packages. Rendering? Naa, too time consuming. On the other hand we ran render tests as time allowed, but with the slow machines it took forever.

    Memories of the past <sigh>

The image was done in 1997. And at 25MB, it practically killed my machine. Thanks for the pat on the back, tho'. I do think I'm improving with age.

    Like some cheeses.

Here's a model that features a photo of a burger. IOW, the burger's real, and everything else is a model.

Hey, Thanks, Mike. "Whine and cheese", eh?
