You can create your curved text in a vector program - XaraX, Illustrator & save / export as .wmf (Windows Metafile) or .emf(Enhanced Metafile) Then you can import the metafile into Xara3D. You may also use CAD programs to create the metafiles, I know TurboCAD & VISIo do.
