    Shef,

all I do is click on the titlebar of the Xara window (out of the dialog box) and press Ctrl-Z.

That's exactly what I'm talking about. You must first click before hitting Ctrl-Z.

Say for example you've aligned objects, but inadvertenly selected align to page as opposed to selected objects. You cannot hit Ctrl-Z and then click the correct radio button, you must first click out of the dialog and then undo and then select the correct radio button and then hit apply.

    CHARLES M,

Please check support@Xara.com. There is a message for you with a Xara file attached. It concerns Guidelines.

    Thanks, John

    > fix the alignment dialog so that you can undo without closing the dialog?

That might be nice, but what I really really really -really- want is align to selected object rather than align to extreme object.

Just click the "undo" button. That's even simpler than Ctrl-Z

Hmmm. I never noticed that Ctrl-Z bug in the Align dialog. We should be able to fix that quite easily.

I never use the undo button. I've always used CTRL-Z,X,C,V for undo, cut, copy and paste as they're consistent with the shortcuts for most programs.

I double Allison's request to align relative to the LAST selected object rather way it is now which I think is relative to the selection "extents".

Guides on top by default gets my vote, as does Allison's request for align to selected object.
