I know these are just more takes on filter themes that have been going around lately but they are worth checking out. 24 plugins total and are all in 8bf format. The only two that do not work without a proper alpha channel layer are the eraser filters. http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/frown.gif That would kinda neat to play with in Xara X1..... oh well!

    Check it all out here:

Have fun!! Oh.... Don't forget to copy the password. It must be applied to each unzipped plugin.

    Richard,

Thanks for this link - some really good ones there.

Simon - the password worked OK for me - there aren't any spaces in it....all lower case.

    Very bizarre, Christine...

I cannot get it to work at all.

update... at least not with my old Norton Navigator and a more recent PowerDesk. But WinRAR was quite happy. Oh well. http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif

That's just strange Simon. I just highlight/copy it to the clipboard and use Ctrl + v to paste it into each zip as asked for. Not sure what's wrong on your end?? http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/confused.gif

    Yes; tried that too...

It must have been the encryption - WinRAR is ok. Weird.

The Mehdi plugins are pretty impressive -- especially for freeware!

I, too, had problems with the password working when I tried to unzip the plugins. I finally looked at the FAQ on the Mehdi site, and downloaded the recommended unzip program 7-Zip. It worked!

I had been using the unzip applet with my V-COM System Suite. Apparently there's a slight difference in the decoding that created the problem.

I'm sure I sound like a stuck record, but..

Have a look at Ornamente I and Ornamente II.

Both sets of Plug-in filters are free in the Xara Xone Shareware Page courtesy of Renaud Gombert.

And Sean Sedward's Plug-in filters. These are freeware and shareware filters, although it has been so long since Sean made them available, I think they are all freeware now. (It is between you and your conscience).
