I am not able to download xml package during istallation of X1. Why? Any suggestions?

Well, I had the same problem at work, most likely because of our enterprise proxy settings.

I have downloaded XML4 from the microsoft site:

http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...629c/msxml.msi

installed it and the XaraX1 installed itself without any problem.
