Customizing Xara

Gary's gel tutorial (and the use of SL-Blur) got me wondering whether it was possible to configure a custom toolbar button in XaraX that would open an external program - such as SL-Blur.

Can this be done?

Not that I know of. But maybe Sean, or one of the folks who is a programmer might know.

Ladislav Seridi, who came up with SL-Blur, is a programmer for IBM, and I suspect if it could have been done, he would have done it.

Plug-in filters, such as Sean's three Blur filters can be accessed from inside Xara via the Bitmaps Effects and Plug-ins option.

Sean's Blur is pretty good for more subtle blur effects.
