    Hello,

I am trying to take this globe and cut out the continents and bevel the edges. I have the continents as a gif file that I cut from the original image and I am trying to get Xara to subtract them from the sphere.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,

    John

Unless I misunderstand, you'll need to cut around the edges of your GIF by either tracing around the shapes using the Freehand/Pen tool and Intersecting or tracing, sending to the back, and applying a ClipView.

Once you have a vector shape with a bitmap fill of your GIF's image, then you'll be able to apply bevels.

Drawing continents will take a long time, and unless your GIF is really big, you'll not have a lot of detail to trace with, so using some clipart maps might be a better starting point.
