    I have been looking for the feathering option in all menus but can't find it. What exactly is it and where is it folks?

    Is is the same as blending?

    It is just to the right of the Gallery icons on the Infobar. It is a slider with a text entry window to the right. You can either use the slider or enter a value in the text entry window.

    A little goes a long way.

    No, it is not the same thing as blending. Feathering only softens the edge and not the imside of a shape.

    And click here to have access to the so interesting feathering profiles I use very often in my tutorials on organic and blobby shapes.

    to experiment.

    Basically profiles alter the effect, fills, transparency, blends, contours, feathering, etc. Profiles are indicated by one or two arrows that appear on the Infobar when a tool or effect is selected.

    The feathering profile makes the edges of the feathering sharper or less sharp.

    Feather something, and then experiment with the four profiles in the drop down list of preset curves.

    Reading what Ivan said, I realize that I cannot access profiles for feathering because right of the text entry box there are no buttons for the profiles drop-down box (see image). Something I don't do and I should???
