I was asked to create a logo for a new home building company that is owned by three women.

One of their specific requests was that the logo reflect the fact that the company is owned by women.

    The logo designs

Your feedback is always a good "reality check" for me. Thanks.

No.. You da ma! http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

Gary, my favourite it number 2. It looks very classy and it's very visual - it would work great at any size, media, 2D and 3D. It's a very versatile logo, you can definately do a lot with it.

I would change one little thing with it - in the middle of the red leaf you one sees some of the yellow. I would remove that part... You have lots of nice lines and shapes in there, and I find that the small yellow part breaks it up. Also, by removing it, the logo will also look better in black and white (fax etc. etc.)

    Super!

I was traveling through a part of Mexico near a huge copper mine and there were women who worked the check points on the road that wore Pink hardhats.
    It's just a thought.

Can't say for sure why I like them best, or exactly how they imply femininity, but I like #4 and #8 best.

I'd like to see a rework of #7 without the hammer. I really like the rose and the type. How about replacing the hammer with a bit of framing for a new building...maybe almost transparent?

I'm having a problem with all of them in that they don't present the fact that the company is owned by women. I was thinking some icon type of graphic representing three heads with different (feminine) hair styles. It is hard to get too creative without getting into stereotypes. Nice clean artwork as usual.

--- Number 2 does... Strong, yet beautifully flowing forms, which understates the fact that women should rule the planet, for the betterment of mankind! Ok, that was my own interpretation... http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/wink.gif http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif

I like #2. The shapes convey elegance, to my eyes.
