Now as I have far fewer cells it's easier to make it do what I want!

However re-design will commence again tomorrow night... I need some sleep it's 5AM here in the UK!

    Night all!

But I can't believe you've picked me up on my forum points! Both my posts make it clear — firstly 'unless the design/coding question is Xara specific' and secondly 'Fair enough (forum wise...)' — that I can see the justification for posting here when Xara's involved. But sometimes the question has nothing to do with Xara, and too many general web design queries still seem to find their way to this forum. Otherwise why split the forums at all? We could just have one massive Xara X forum (well, it is the biggest) to which we could post absolutely anything!

I think that even though this is not a web design forum as such, it is a grouping of friends, and who best to get honest answers and criticism from than friends?

Most of us create the graphics for our web sites in Xara and so IMHO it is as appropriate to showcase our web sites as it is for some to showcase their spinnakers :-)

    I agree with Gary.

I *always* do the majority (if not all) of my site graphics in Xara, as do most of the people who post in here on a regular basis.

I have also got to know the (on-line) personalities of quite a few of the forum members, and I know I can trust most of them to come up with a valid a reasoned judgement when I ask for the evaluation of a piece of work, be it Xara only or a Web Site.

I agree that a little restraint is needed, but I feel that the vast majority of posts are perfectly valid - and if it's not then it's time for the moderators to step in.

There's nothing more frustrating to be in a group of friends like this forum, and to be sharply told that you've gone off topic whenever you move in a slightly different direction.

Let's not pigeon-hole everything too tightly...
