I'm not sure if this is documented or not, but I accidentially discovered if you hold down the Shift key and left click on a color from the screen palette, the Shift-click color becomes the outline color.

When the pointer is over the colour bar, the Status Bar mentions that you can also use the Right Hand Mouse button instead http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

Well, yeah, that's the way most of us do it. The Shift click thing was something I did not know was possible.

    Hi Gary,

Hehe - I'd forgotten all about the right hand mouse button myself, instead I always used the shift key. I can see why the SHIFT option is much better for tablet users http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

It always amazes me the level of consideration that went into Xara's UI with handy little shortcuts just where they are needed. A favourite of mine is the TAB key (or SHIFT TAB to go back) which is real useful for selecting colour points in complex fills or ALT-Selecting inside grouped shapes/blends.
