HELP! What has happpened to my Xara X?!?!?! It's become Macnoidized!

Come to think of this, maybe this kind of skinning is what's needed for all the graphics trade Macnoids to overcome their Windows prejudice - and thus be able to start using XaraX? :-)

http://www.windowblinds.net/ is the place for this skinning-stuff. They have a Mac X look, too, as well as gazillions of other looks, and you can make your own. It's kinda cool to be able to customize the OS like that, but hardly very productive!

it's an older version of the Mac OS Doesn't Window Blinds have anything newer? (OK I just say your post which preceeded mine).

OS X would be cool but pre-OS X is a yawn.

Now Windows XP is more cool. Even than Mac OS X.

I think Apple ordered WindowBlinds to take down all Mac OS X related skins... didn't wan't Windows users getting in on the action!

If you look hard enough you might still be able to find the OS X skins out there.

Apple is counting on the striking design of OS X to not only sell software but to draw users from Windows to the Mac. They spent a good deal of time and money coming up with their new interface design and don't want to see it bastardized on the competitor's screens.

I can't say for others, but for me, fancy design of environment is not always the highest priority. In my current operating system, Win 2000, the active desktop is switched off, smoothing of screen fonts off, transitions off, showing of windows content while dragging off. No desktop image, and except of other things I use the Rainy Day scheme... Imagine you are a system designer, woudln't you get depressed? ;-)

Time to bring this thread back from the dead.

I've just found one of the best looking and consistant OS X themes I've ever seen, and it doesn't hog resources!!

I've downloaded the RC2 version of StyleXP and it has an OS X theme in it which is really good.

    Download StylesXP from here: http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail...fid=1003618950

To get to the Communtity Theme and the EclipseOSX colour scheme (this can all be done from the normal Display properties Dialog).

Below is a pic of my nicely OS X'ed Xara X

Dmagician, I'm exactly like you are with my W2K setup, except I let the fonts be smoothed. Who needs all that flashy, resource-hogging stuff!?
