New Xara FAQ Test

I just updated the Xara FAQ. It was getting very difficult to maintain the FAQ in pure HTML. I'm now using a MySQL backend with a freware PHP app called FAQEngine (PHP). Old FAQ still exists for now.

Some new features:

1. Better Search
2. Print/Email FAQs
3. Print/Display the whole FAQ
4. User comments/ratings
5. Display new FAQS that within the last X days
6. Easier for me to update

Not implemented:

1. Users can post questions
2. Subscription to FAQ
3. Knowledgebase
4. Keyword Search

Try it out and let me know what you think - bad or good. There are bound to be problems, because the old FAQ was manually transferred.

If there are any problems, I haven't seen them. The new Xara FAQ works great. Nice and speedy. We need to remember to refer new users to this wonderful collection of user knowledge.

Hi Dave,

I tried a few searches. The question about getting a chrome look seems to pop up quite often, yet a search did not return a correct entry. Searches for metallic and metal return no results. A search for glass did return Egg's excellent mini-tutorial.

Search engines are not an easy thing to implement. You've obviously put a lot of work into your FAQ and I thank you.

Soquili, the search returned nothing because there were no FAQS concerning the subject. However, check out the new Heavy Metal section [img]/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif[/img]
