Thanks to Gary too. I always thought that antialiasing was only good for onscreen where resolution is so low, and that when printing, you would want the crisp definition so didn't need it. This will save me time because I often forget to change the quality detail setting, and have to go back and export again!

Where designs do not use bevels, extrusions, shadows or bitmap fills, I guess it is to be better to send it as an EPS to avoid all of these troubles. But where there are bevels and things which Xara displays as special effects as bitmaps, are they exported as 300dpi images inside my EPS? My nerves say not to trust EPS just in case and always use TIFF if I am not sure!

Thank you for your help. Everyone, if you have not downloaded Ghostscript, try it, you will like it :-)

That's an excellent statement! I just **love** it, because TIFF is the safest you can get...

I'm sure what happened to that resize. I think this is better?

The attached image was of text exported at various sizes 8-24, exported as a TIFF at 600dpi with anti-aliasing and without.

I imported the image back into Xara with the anti-aliased display turned off and enlarged it 1000%. There is a difference which I think you can see (and one I have to admit, I never even thought about).
