    Good morning everyone! Here is a painting of one of my dogs that I did from a photo. This one really gave me problems, because she is a dapple colored dog and it was hard to get the whites and the blacks to look like dog hair. Plus, I did it at 300 resolution because I plan on printing it out, so a lot of the stroke detail got lost in the downsizing for the web. Now I only have three more dog portraits to go!

    Great job, Carolyn! Looks very realistic to me. Seems like you got the blending of the "dapples" just right.

    What a good job on a nice looking dachshund ... must be almost supper time by the look of the stare [img]/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif[/img]

    Good job ... the eyes look like there's a real dog there.

    Thank you so much Crow Haven and David! Yes, she is a sweetie, however, very spoiled! I used Fantastic Machines Paint Engine filter on her coat to try and give it a little more depth. My brush strokes just weren't getting it. And actually the eyes were the easiest part for some odd reason.
