Juan,

check following address for plug-ins:

XARAZONE

and check the plug-ins / shareware area.

In addition, you might try a search engine for 'filter factory' plug-ins - they are absolutely free and 100% Photoshop compatible, that means they work in XARA X as well.

However, you might need to convert them, but the converter tool is also available there. Just discovered the link for filter factory:

Filter Factory

hope this helps!

This thread from a while back had a link to a free download of EyeCandy3. I've found the series to work quite well with xara although the colour editing function doesn't work. Still it is well worth the download time.

An obvious starting point must be Harald Heim's site at

http://www.thepluginsite.com/.

However, for a wonderful overview, with the most links I have seen, do go to Gwendal Cobert's site (which is no longer being maintained) at

http://perso.club-internet.fr/gpl/.

Finally, although I think both sites mention it, also visit www.flamingpear.com, where you will find BladePro and SuperBladePro. The latter is wonderful except that it no longer works and I can't obtain any support response from the author! but BladePro appears to be stable and there are many presets available. Enjoy.

I downloaded an ffl plugin from the site, put it in a folder, identified the folder to Xara, but I don't see the plugin under Bitmap Effects and Plugins. Do all ffl files automatically show? I restarted Xara and still no file. I am on a PC (Win98). Any help would be appreciated.

you need to convert it from ffl to 8bf. I use Plugin Commander for that. There are 2 versions. Lite and Pro. I have the Pro but I believe that lite (free version) will do conversions. Here is a link to The Plugin Site all sorts of fun links are there. Have a look and enjoy

I strongly recommend the UnPlugged series.

I have been using them for a while in PSP 4 and they are some of my favourites.

Ge them at Van der Lee's site: http://www.v-d-l.com/up.html

This is the description, from the site itself:
"The UnPlugged filters are a set of free plugins for graphical applications such as PhotoShop, Premiere, Paint Shop Pro and basically every other program capable of using PhotoShop plugins.
The total set of nearly 100 filters is divided in four separate archives which sorts them into the categories "Colors", "Effects", "Shapes" and "Tools".

I'm sure you will like these.

Best wishes,
