Dear Xara X users and developers.

I still hope we will see some vector-plugin-intefrace in one of the next releases of Xara X.

While this has not occurred, I offer to Xara users my next small app called LSVG.
It is fractal generator with vector output. In alpha yet.

Please take a look on it at my page
and make some suggestions for me if you want.

You will find instructions on page , but I think LSVG is easy to use.

    Regards, Dmitry

I would think the applications you are creating would be good in CAD applications. There has always been some difficulty in drawing spirals.

For the fratal application, I sent the fractal to AS, and performed a solid fill and exported to wmf. The wmf was loaded into Xara X, and exported to PNG. The PNGwas opened in PS CS and the selection was loaded from the alpha channel. Then SBP was invoked as a plugin to color the graphic. Then back to Xara X for further adjustment.

    Another Idea
    http://xaraxtv.at.tut.by/lsvgart1.png

In presets there are fractals that looks not too nice, but playing with deep and angle we can
get incredible results. Belive me, people http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/smile.gif. Try.

    Pretty neat little app!!

My only suggestion is to consider going through the selections and cleaning up the defaults a bit. I clicked on Christmas tree and well, it's doesn't look like much of anything.

Other than that I think it's got real useful possibilities!! http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

Rich, how did you get that star shape?? That is REALLY cool looking!! http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/eek.gif

Here's a little tutorial that I came up with for a shape I created and dumb me didn't record it!! http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif

    Access,

Thank you. I haven't had a chance to try it but it looks promising.

Question: is everything created "symterical or geometrical"? Reason I ask is that it would be extremely useful is it could generate more random patterns to create effects like grass or patterns to use a texture fills for vegetation, etc. Does this make sense?

Ivan Louette has been having problems loggin in so he asked me to post this image for him.

I, myself, am digging under a mountain of work and will try out the fractal generator as soon as I get a break.
