Bug or just a wilting rose??

I drew this rose, but for some reason when I re-size it (smaller) a bit, a diagonal transparency appears. When I size it down more the rose disappears altogether leaving just the leaves???

Is it just my PC? I've tried looking for some hidden square shape! Could it be that all the petals have a feathering on them?

See how the text also fades??

Change to wireframe and see what happens. Look at the box that has the petals. That's the problem. If you ungroup and remove the petals the problem goes away. Don't know why.

Try to select the whole and apply different levels of transparency; perhaps the effect will disappear.

The problem only appears when you zoom out!!!

If you zoom in close so the rose fills the screen, all three can be seen just fine!!

Did not think to check out wire frame view - don't use it much but will from now on :-).

Still don't know what it is or where it came from - but then I was doing a lot of try then undo, must have left something in!

I tried your file. That's just what could be interesting to send to Xara. Seemingly some confusion between feathering and shadows or transparency data.
