How to hide arched text?

Hello,

I put text on an arc. Now I want to hide the arc line but keep text visible.

I press F2 to select the line (it also selects text on the arc).
Then select "no color" attribute.

Problem is the text dissapears but the line remains & I need the opposite!

Help!

Hold down control key and click on the line - this should select just the line. Then click on no line colour - right click on transparent colour icon.
