I think this should save okay John. (It's maximised for a 1600 x 1200 display) but the colours should come across. Never tried it with more shades but I can't see any reason why it shouldn't.

Thanks John and Egg for the palette's!

Any way to add them to XaraX's default palette so they load each time with each new drawing??

Also, John, with the named colors added to the palette it's only 172 colors, not 256. Any reason why or is this the proper amount for the browsers?? Any way to create a .pal file with the named colors names intact?? That would be REALLY neat!!

    hi Richard,

    Yes...
    1. Just open Xara...
    2. Throw something on the screen...
    3. Then open my .xar file.
    4. Take the colors you want from my template, and copy them to yours.
    5. Put them where you want in the color line.
    6. close my template.
    7. Delete whatever you threw up on the screen...
    8. Save it as your default template.

    It is just that easy.

    John,

Instead of throwing something on the screen and deleting it later. If you open the template with the colors and then open a new blank drawing, you can also copy the colors to the [default] drawing and save it over your default template...

    Just an FYI....

    Hi John, Egg,

Is there a way to make XaraX or take the named colors and put them in an order like "luminence", "saturation" or better yet by "hue" with out loosing the name's??

I know if there was a text version of this set of named colors I could easily take this into XPal and arrange them as I wanted and then open them as a .pal file under XaraX and then transfer them into a modified template.

John, can you create a txt file of these named colors?? That's really the way around this question I have here.

    Many thanks
    Richard
