The attached image's 'fire' is a zoomed view of a blend created out of a quickshape with the virtual hole technique. It is actually a bunch of clones of the blend with each offset from the others slightly. It's not that this relates directly to this thread but I hope it does reinforce that the techniques discussed here can be incorporated into creative play. The text is a font called 'slipstream'. It was given the transparent png bitmap fill and then beveled.
