Just trying out a design. This was fun to lay out. Any critiques?

It's got just the right Atmospehere of adverts or yester-year. The choice of fonts seems just right.

I like the way old adverts were laid out and you captured that quite nicely. I must get some fonts like that

I wasn't sure if I had hit the mark on this one. All my fonts are from Xara or free font sites.

You might see certain similarities if you visit here and look at the vintage radio and valve art.

I dunno - I just like their style in a nostalgic sort of way yet I wasn't around in that era! I find it quite inspirational

    Hi Dave,

That is some excellent art. The fonts and layout are very reminiscent of times gone by.

    Graeme,

Thanks for that link. I enjoy seeing commercial art from years ago. I also remember seeing some of the valve art when I was a young boy, making my pocket money repairing old radios. Back then many of the local pharmacies had replacement valves for radios and televisions.

At the risk of going a bit OT, you might like this site too

    Hi Graeme,

I like that site too. But now I really feel old, I worked with a lot of those antiques when I first went into the Air Force
