Separate X1 Forum

Hi all , new to Xara X and love it ! Purchased ONLY last week ( waiting on CDs to arrive) and then found X1 and upgraded !! (Ditto CDs).

Any chance to have a X1 specific forum please ?

Hello Holty,

Welcome to talk graphics. This would be up to Anthony and the folks at Xara. MY feelings on the subject, Xara X1 is just a minor upgrade (1.0D to 1.1) to the original program. I think using this forum should suffice at least until the major overhaul is completed. Then a new forum could be useful.

To phrase that a little differently. XaraX was a great piece of software but Xara X1 is the GREATEST!! http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif While the features set is not all that different there are many improvements, bug fixes and SOME new and profound implementations that surely make this software the very best available in and above it's "class". With that said I think that a new forum would probably not be something that would be considered at this time and personally do not see a need for one, it would only confuse more than help new and seasoned users, IMHO!! It would be, in it's way, splitting the camps and that's not something that I think would be wise to do just for the sake of providing a new forum just because of a newer version being released.

I agree, an X1 forum would be unecessary. It's still the same product, just a newer version. So Xara X, X1 and X2 whenever that may be will all fit okay in the forum.

It's just best to be clear, if one is asking a specific question, which version is being used.
